So what is Swissair.aero all about? Who does this page?
Well, for starters, as you might have read in the disclaimer, this page is in no way affiliated with Swissair, Crossair or Swiss.
It's done by a single Swissair Fan who thought it was time for a good Swissair Fan Site.
I always wanted to work for Swissair and to become a pilot. Somehow the grounding just came around that time. The idea for this site just came in March 2005 while I was doing some other sites, as Swissair is still one of my favourite hobbies. The first adress I had was www.sr692.com, which was the Flight number of the route from Zürich to Lisbon, the Flight I used most often... For a while sw.issair.com was the 'main' adress, before i finally got www.swissair.aero, which is now the main adress for this site.
This site takes up a lot of my free time and therefore it sometimes takes quite a while for me to do some more updates and research etc. BUT YOU CAN HELP!
If you want to contribute to this site, there's various ways to do so!
Join the Community, post in the Forum, leave an entry in the Guestbook, or share a personal memory of Swissair with the other visitors. Right now this site is visited by about 40 People per day, so the more people contribute the better known it'll be.
You can of course also contribute by sending in Pictures of Aircraft that are missing, scans of missing Posters etc by E-Mail or by sending some Swissair Material you no longer need to me by snail mail (send me an E-Mail via 'contact us') .
Last but not least there's cost involved!! If you click on any of the google ads or if you book a flight via the site, i get a small comission.
And if you wan't to contribute a couple of bucks to the hosting, the domain name etc of this site you can do so by sending money to my PayPal Account.
