Swissair and the other Airlines of the former Swissair Konzern were combined within the SAirlines Company. Along with Swissair, Crossair, Balair and Flightlease were a part of SAirLines. The other Airlines in which the SAirGroup had minority stakes such as Sabena, LTU etc were not integrated in the SAirLines Company but with the SAirGroup itself.
The SAirLines division offered a wide and varied selection of international and regional air services.
SAirLines went bankrupt along with the SAirgroup, Swissair, Flightlease etc...

After the renaming of the Swissair Konzern to SAirGroup the 'Skylines' were added to the swissair Logo and added to the planes. Swissair officially stopped flying on March31st, 2002, after serving the skies for 71 years. There's a good Swissair fan site at swissair.aero ;-)

Crossair was also integrated into SAirLines. Whilst the SAirLines 'Skylines' were added to the former Crossair logo it was not often used with the new one (however it is in the annual report...)

Crossair was renamed into Swiss Air Lines in March 2002 and took over former Swissair and Crossair aircraft and routes. After some legal issues with the Swissair Group they were again renamed into Swiss International Air Lines.
See history for a more complete overview of Crossair and Swiss.

BalairCTA was also integrated into SAirLines. BalairCTA changed its name back to Balair, see history for a more detailed overview of Balair. After the Collapse of the SAirGroup, Balair was taken over by Hotelplan, and renamed belair airlines.
See history for a more complete overview of Balair.

Flightlease was the leasing company for most of the Swissair aircraft as well as aircraft of other Qualiflyer Member Airlines such as Sabena etc.
In June 1998 Flightlease teamed up with GATX Capital Corporation to form GATX Flightlease - the world's number three aircraft leasing company. The joint venture was designed to combine the proven skills of two established players. Whilst Flightlease mostly made Business with SAirGroup affiliated Airlines, GATX Flightlease was also involved in 3rd Party Business. In June 2001 the Partnership was changed, and Swissair decided to focus on the Aircraft needs of the SAirGroup, ending the Joint Venture. (see Press release)
The Flightlease Aircraft fleet totalled around 120 Aircraft at the time of the Swissair Grounding, which were in service with airlines including Swissair, Balair, Sabena, Sobelair, South African Airways, AOM, Volare, Air Europe, DAT, Euralair and Air One, and totalled over 200 aircraft during the GATX Flightlease Joint-Venture.

Flightlease went bankrupt along with the SAirGroup in the end of 2001.

The other Airlines, such as Sabena etc, where the SAirGroup had minority stakes were not integrated into SAirLines since the SAirGroup did not have a majority. They are mentioned under the SAirGroup and described more closely in the Qualiflyer Section.
